           Government Institute of Printing Technology is a State Wide and Autonomous Institustion under the control of Department of Technical EDucation, Government of Telangana.   It was established int he year 1977, offering a three years Diploma Course in Printing Technology.   It is the one and only one institution which is offering the course in the entre state.  
          The highlight of this course is that, the students undergo a Six months Industrial Training during  Fifth Semester in leading presses located the State, during which time they also get Stipend.   This Training gives them actual shop-floor experience, thus gearing them up to face the real challenges of the industry.
CAREER IN PRINTING TECHNOLOGY:

           Print Media is the oldest form of media.   But even today it is growing from strength to strength.  Around 4000 small, mediam and large newspapers and magazines across the country are registered with the Registrar of Newspapers every year. This indicates that it is a growing sector where employment opportunities are increasing with each passing day. There is a huge opening for qualified Printing Professionals in India.   Jobs for printing technologist are available in advertising agencies, newspapers/manazines, government presses, machie manufatures, packaging industries, book printers and even more in private commercial press as technology consultant.
